The Client agrees that, in admitting their dog, Coast & Downs Dog Walking has relied on the Client’s representation that their dog has not shown aggression or threatening behaviour toward any person or any other dog.
Dogs must wear a correctly fitted collar with a name tag compliant with the local council legislation. It is also law to have them micro chipped.
I am fully insured, however I do ask that customers insure their own dogs fully.
Coast & Downs Dog Walking offer services where dogs socialise in groups. The Client accepts that during the course of "normal" dog play and exercise in the forest, their dog may sustain injuries. All dog play is carefully monitored to avoid injury, however scratches, punctures, or other injuries may occur despite the very best supervision. Coast & Downs Dog Walking will not be responsible for any veterinary fees for any accidental injuries and illnesses caused through play and exercise. The company will not be liable for veterinary fees if any pre-existing illnesses or injuries present themselves while in care of Coast & Downs Dog Walking.
I ask that you contact your vet and let them know that during the time your dog is in our care, should an incident arise we are able to take your dog to the vet and authorise treatment with your consent if we are unable to contact you.
The Client authorises Coast & Downs Dog Walking to seek such veterinary advice and/or treatment as they deem necessary; where possible this will be carried out by the Client’s usual/preferred Vet, but this cannot be guaranteed (e.g. in an emergency) and the Client accepts that Coast & Downs Dog Walking may at their discretion use any registered vet. The Client agrees to pay all such costs immediately upon pick-up of their dog, or by agreement with the proprietor.
Any cancellations must be made by 12 midday the day before your dog is due to be walked and 48hrs notice for weekend walks. If walks are cancelled due to any reason after this time, then the full price of the walk will be charged.
If you know of any dates that you do not need your dog walked then if you can give me as much notice as possible that would be a great help.
Dogs can get wet & muddy. I make every effort to clean your dog as much as possible, but I cannot guarantee the dogs full cleanliness on return.
Any dogs coughing will not be walked. Kennel cough is highly contagious. If you hear your dog coughing then please let me know before the walk. The Client accepts that even though their dog is vaccinated against kennel cough there is a chance that their dog can still contract it.
I cannot take male dogs that have not be neutered unless they are young dogs due to be.
If your dog is in the care of someone else while you are away, please make sure that we have the dog sitters details and the dogs tag has the dog sitters details on it.
During adverse weather (extreme heat or extreme cold) I reserve the right to cancel walks at short notice if it would prove dangerous to transport dogs or dangerous to walk.
Coast & Downs Dog walking reserves the right to change or amend any Terms or Conditions at any time – last updated July 2023.
